First show coming January 11th

Welcome to CrimsonPod: A Monsters & Murder Podcast! We are glad you have joined us! Our first show will air on January 11, 2022 at 9 PM EST/8 PM CST. This first show is very special. The first hour of the show will be a tribute to our friend and former co-host of “Travis & Vic’s Drunken Horror Adventures,” the late Vic Philpott (or Filpot to some of you). We will share our memories of Vic, and it’s going to be an emotional hour as we celebrate him and discuss some of the shenanigans he got himself into during the run of the legendary podcast!

The next hour will be devoted to a discussion of the 2017 film “The Ritual,” a truly disturbing and terrifying horror film, based on Adam Nevill’s 2011 hit novel of the same name. The film was broadcast on Friday the 13th, 2017 on Netflix, and immediately became a hit and favorite viewing among many horror fans. The release date didn’t hurt either! You’ll never look at the woods the same again!

Do you love horror films? How about discussing real-life monsters, like some of the world’s most reviled murderers and serial killers? If so, you have come to the right place. CrimsonPod was created by renowned podcaster Travis (formerly of the podcast “Travis & Vic’s Drunken Horror Adventures”) and best-selling horror author, composer & podcaster Blake Best (“Razor’s Edge,” “Behind the Screams,” “Fathom,” & “The Within”). Travis and I have worked together on many episodes of “Travis & Vic’s Drunken Horror Adventures” with our close friend Vic, who passed away in January. We all shared a love of horror and the macabre, and Travis and I have decided to continue discussing these topics because we feel Vic would have wanted us to do so, and we felt like there was no better way to honor his memory.

Join us as we dive into the blood-soaked world of horror films and the real-life bloodbaths that have occurred throughout history and left an impact on criminal justice both solved and unsolved, and those that still haunt investigators. “Crimson” is another word to describe blood, and even when it is wiped away its red presence still lingers. This podcast is not for the faint of heart or those that are disturbed by the discussion of horror films and those very real horrors that left such a lasting impact on our society.
