Episode 16: Psycho (1960)

Hey CrimsonPodders!

Last night we discussed the 1960 masterpiece “Psycho.” This groundbreaking film was dissected and after discussing the acting, cinematography, music, and story, we concluded the film was perfect, a 4/4 for both of us. Nothing else needed to be said, the film stands on its own as the film that launched the slasher subgenre!

We also shared a horrific story regarding the Jameson Family (as in, the Irish Whiskey) that you’ll want to hear to believe.

Join us next week as we discuss the 1985 film “Reanimator!”

Episode 15: Ghost Ship

Hey CrimsonPodders!

We took two weeks off due to unforseen circumstances, but we were back with a vengeance on Tuesday as we discussed 2002’s “Ghost Ship.” Travis and I both agreed the opening sequence was spectacular, but ultimately felt that more should have been done with the story, and more background given to the characters. It wasn’t the worst film we’ve watched, but it was far from a perfect film!

Blake’s wife Lisa popped in and recommended we discuss a film centered around mothers, being that Mother’s Day was just a few days ago. We settled on the original “Psycho,” so next Tuesday we talk about this legendary film from 1960, and how a boy’s best friend is always his mother!
